LOVER
I did
the ride last year and survived! It was very fun. I'm doing it again
this year. I don't know where you got the idea that only 50%
finished. I just checked the results again and there were 75 finishers and
12 DNF.
The
trails will be in a different order this year. Last year there was a lot
of switchbacked single tracks. It's not an easy ride, but it was only my
4th endurance ride and we finished in the top 20. Not because I wanted to,
but Beau likes to run and I'm too stupid to stop him. I was screaming that
he was going to kill me, but I was smiling all the time as he missed turns,
bounced over embankments and leaping up hills in bounds. We were only a
half an hour behind being top 10 and might of made it if I didn't have my leg
cramp at lunch and took an extra 1/2 hour. Didn't electrolyte enough so
Beau thumped at the finish. I think that I'm a wiser rider now.
Shoot me if I'm stupid again.
Good
water availability, nice scenery, tons of volunteers taking numbers because
there is an area of loops within loops that will drive you
crazy.

Just wondering if anyone has ever done the Lake Oroville ride in the
western
division? I would love to hear about it the ride is this
coming weekend.
Sounds kinda tough over 50% don't make it.
