'Scuse me, but beet pulp has been used in cattle feed for many, many
years. I grew up on a dairy and know it was in the dairy cow's grain and
also in the calf ration. My first exposure to seeing a bag of just
shredded beetpulp, without it being mixed with other grains, was at the
county fair where I was showing dairy cattle. We fed it to them soaked
(what a unique idea!) to fill them out in the flank area and make them
look smoother, conformationally. This was exactly 40 years ago!!!
Please don't be accusing the feed companies of creating the beet pulp
shortage. Feed companies can probably blame the horse people for causing
THEM a shortage. Renie #1673
