Pat's already done it for me, but nope, hydrogen peroxide's not the greatest
thing for cleaning a wound because it *is* toxic to cells. You just want to
try to remove debris and bacteria from a wound and leave the cells as intact
as possible. So what they're teaching at the vet school is to put diluted
betadine into a squirt bottle or a 60 cc syringe and blast the wound with a
little pressure. It'll knock off the bacteria and crud without destroying
viable tissue.
