RE: GPS Receivers and Software

I put my Gramin in my cargo pants thigh picket or my jacket side pocket.
Problem is maintaining a clear line of sight to the satellites -- mine loses
contact if I keep it in a shirt pocket.

Karen....

I have a pommel bag from SportTack. The antenna will rotate and the
unit is rectangular. Just stick it in the bag, zip it up with the
antenna sticking out. Might want to add a little padding or some other
stuff in the bag to keep it from bouncing. If you wear a belt, you can
get a little case with belt loops which works well.

I have also used a water bottle holder that had one of the elastic
straps that goes over the bottle. Just make sure the GPS won't bounce
out. Wrapping it in a thin piece of foam helps.

If I'm following waypoints, I just trot along holding it in my
hand..very small, very light. You can operate it with one hand.
