> Bad news, Darla Westlake had a fall, broke her collar bone...in > hospital > for surgery. Doubtful she will ride. This is the pits. :-(((( I'm curious as to what's going to happen next. Is there a posibility of someone else riding her horse? What if another team member's horse is lame, might they swap? I had a broken collar bone which they operated on and plated. I believe I got on a horse in 2 weeks, and did a race in 4. If I recall correctly, the lasting effects of the anesthesia kept me off for at least a week and there's no way I could use that arm to hold a strong horse back at all. I had a junior whose job was to slow my horse down with her horse. Anybody think there's a chance she'll make it and ride? Anybody with inside info? I really feel for her. Don't know what I think about people leasing horses they didn't train from other countries (Forgym). Sort of confuses who gets bragging rights if there's a win.
