Just for the record, not ALL halter trainers abuse the horses. The trainer I
chose for my filly is wonderful with his horses. He makes training fun for
the horses. At one show, he and my filly were playing in between classes,
literally dancing. My filly nickered everytime she saw him and was eager to
get into the ring. She came home a sane, easy to handle horse -- she even
stands for being clipped without having to even be haltered. The good Arab
trainers are out there -- they just may not be the biggest trainers or the
most politically popular.
