Susan,
Regular rubbing alcohol is legal, the green stuff isn't because of other
additives.
The alcohol can be useful when it's very hot & humid and water is next to
useless unless iced. BUT, if the horse has any little scrapes or skin
irritations (this was a very good year for blackberries <BG>) the alcohol
can pretty much send them into orbit. Totally defeats the purpose.
