RE: Alcohol in Water to Cool Down?
When you abnormally "quicken" a recovery, is it really a recovery? I saw one
done that way and it passed the vet check and was out very fast. Three miles
down the trail it collapsed!
You may "cool down" the surface and trick the system but if the core is not
cooled down you are courting disaster.

Subject: RC: Alcohol in Water to Cool Down?
A friend asked me if it was legal to use alcohol in the water sponge
your horse down.
I had never thought of using alcohol to help quicken recoveries. Is it
legal?
Thanks,
Susan
