Re: RC: Junior sponsorship
Nicole, while I know that many 18 year olds are perfectly capable of
sponsoring their younger siblings, AERC rules state that junior riders must
be sponsored by an adult rider, 21 years or older, who is entered in the
ride. And yes, you may certainly ride with your sister accompanied by a
sponsor. The rules also state that the junior rider must stay with the adult
at all times, entering and leaving vet checks. I believe that the junior may
cross the finish line up to 1 minute ahead of the sponsor, but no more than 1
minute.
