I think I have heard everything now! I have never heard of a horse
spooked just because a gaited horse's footfalls sounded strange or
because they breathe in rhythm with their footfalls. I have both gaited and
non-gaited Morgans. And one Arab. And they certainly have never had a
problem with any breed we've ridden with, from Walkers and Paso Finos, to
Fox Trotters. I'd say a horse like that isn';t too stable, and I surely
wouldn't want to ride it! And I can't say I'd ever trust it on a trail, with
all that you encounter. When you ride in this sport, you need a real
partner, and I won't accept less.
