That's exactly the way they felt to me on the very wet, very mucky No
Frills ride this spring -- like 4WD -- very secure and "grippy."
Unfortunately they both slid off within minutes of each other around 15
miles out. I probably could have clamped them down a little tighter ...
and I believe that I flattened the metal grippers too much. Fine Print
never broke stride and carried on without them (I didn't even see them
go), and some kind soul(s) coming along behind us collected the boots
and turned them in.
