mud shoes
OK, you southeasterners, Teddy and whomever else has experience with
muddy hills, what is the best shoe to use? That's what I'll be
conditioning my coming 5YO in. I need some traction!
I've tried aluminum. Loved the way she broke over and the design seemed
to offer some traction. I can see that they would wear out way too fast,
plus they're too springy. They bend if Salina hits a rock just right and
boy is she good at that. Next stride we've lost a shoe.
Half rounds give me the break over, but they're terrible in slick mud.
Flat steel seems to work OK until I find something better. There's gotta
be something better.
Deanna (Ohio newbie with a few CTR miles) and
Salina (0 miles, but extremely curious)
