helps clear up some circulating rumors.

As someone who has attended and shown at Scottsdale for 8 years, I would like 
to clear up a few things that have really been bugging me.  As in any sport, 
you run into abuse, yes Arabs are easy to abuse, but horses in general should 
be the concern.  Every sport has their villains, but the majority they are 
fun loving, respectful people.  If anyone was at Scottsdale in 99, they can 
testify that the attendance was way down by exhibitors boycotting the show, 
due to the recent plastic surgery problems.  

Yes, I have seen my share of animal abuse and Scottsdale is no exception.  
But let me tell you something, I saw the most abuse at Youth Nationals.  Not 
by the riders, nope....the parents, wanting the win!!!!!  

But overall, abuse in these Arab shows has gone dramatically down (in my 
personal opinion).  People are more aware of what abuse is, stewards are 
reporting and judges are SLOWLY beginning to go back to the way Arabs should 
be judged.  

As far as David goes, please don't jump to conclusions.  Everyone knows how 
rumors fly.

Sorry just had to get this one off my chest!!!  (no flaming please!)
