Re: RC: White hairs on a chestnut
I have a 3 year old Paso Fino gelding, orangy-chestnut in colour, with the
roaning on belly, flanks and hips *and* white marks about the size of a 50
cent piece on either side of his back, behind the withers; it looks for alll
the world like pressure marks from a saddle, except he was born with them.
His sire is a palomino with sabino markings. His half sister from a
Peruvian mare is a deep liver chestnut with flaxen mane and tail and
also has
the roaning on belly and flanks, but thankfully not the wither spots. The
red colt has a blaze and 3 stockings, but the liver chestnut filly has
only a
tiny dot of white on her forehead, and no leg markings at all.
