I have a bay mare (navajo mustang) that has been getting white patches all
summer everywhere. ON her back, shoulders, rump, etc. My farrier said that
he had heard that juniper trees(the berries or sap) caused a bleaching
effect when it had contact with the hair. You guys may not have the juniper,
but have you used someting on your tack that may be bleaching the hair? Just
a thought.
