You are right with your "mostly domestic" comment. This horse would qualify
as a CMK horse by percentage (75% or more) but would fail the CMK designation
because he has an Egyptian sire line. (CMK horses must have both a CMK sire
liine and a CMK dam line, as well as meeting the percentage.) At any rate,
Silko Raffon's great-grandsire *Khofo is an Egyptian import, and there is one
other Egyptian line (*Ghalii) in his pedigree back aways. The dam, Bint
Inshallah is likewise mostly CMK other than a *Naborr sire line (Polish) and
a line to *Witez II (old Polish). All in all, I'd say it is a pretty "safe"
endurance pedigree--if you like the horse, go for it! (Unless, of course,
you were wanting a Russian. :-) )
