Why are you unhappy with your current bit (or are you?  If you aren't, I
wouldn't recommend making a change)?  Whether this is a good bit for your
horse depends on a) how it is trained (its a curb bit, so is its training
advanced enough to use a curb?) b) how the bit fits in its mouth and c)
what its problems may or maynot be with the current headgear.

p.s.  It has been my experience that RARELY are any problems solved by
changing bits as a horse that doesn't understand its rider's hands (which
is the cause of most "bitting" problems) with its current bit is unlikely
to understand any better with a new one.  I have seen, however, some
"bitting problems" solved by removing the bit entirely.
