ALL RIGHT!!

I just completed my very FIRST ride this weekend (Wolverine Canyon, Idaho)
My horse was a pasture potato for 10 years before I bought her and this was
her first experience at a real ride too.
We learned LOTS!!
1-Mysti learned that not only could she WALK through streams, she could
actually drink from them.  YEAH!
2-We learned that we could have gone a little faster and still been OK.
   (we finished dead last)
3-I found out that the shoes I am wearing will definately NOT work for
   this sport.
4-I need to educate my husband a little more on the duties of "pit crew".
The very first words out of his mouth when I came in were "What took you so
long?"
5-I need to remember to put the water buckets for the horses in the trailer
to take with us so we don't have to run to the store to buy more.

It was a great ride, well-marked, good footing, lots of water.  We met lots
of nice people, the dinner after was delicious (dutch-oven).  What a great
way to start!!!
