Jim Barnett in the Southeast rides a Trek/Arab cross "Laramie Topaz" He
is very fast, tends to finish with the winners carrying a middleweight.
Jim says his recoveries aren't as fast as an Arab, but they are
apparently able to compensate pretty well. If he wasn't our BC champion
in the last year or two, I think he was close.
By the way, he has hauled him out west and done the Outlaw Trail, and
maybe some other multi-days. He also does Civil War reinactments with
him.
