Return,update, and Legend

I unsubscribed awhile back to focus on my up-coming board exams and now
that they are over (for better or worse-I haven't heard yet)-I'm back.

First- Bit update. There was a controversy a couple of months back
about snaffle vs. curb bits. Someone (thank you whoever you are)
suggested a french snaffle bit. Tried it and both me and my horse like
it. So I'm back to a snaffle again but before you snaffle snobs (and
you know who you are out there) get up on your high horse, I still
contend that a curb bit in good hands is a fine also.

Second- First distance riding clinic. I was the culmination of ride
camp wisdom from my Easy Boots to my Soft Rider Saddle to my french
snaffle bit. Much thanks. It was fun although the Florida humidity and
deep sand are something to contend with. First real ride coming up
soon.

Third- I've read in the archives about using Adequan but no mention of
Legend. When I was doing dressage, I used Flex Free successfully for
awhile then needed to do something different for those hocks. The vet
recommended Legend, and it was expensive, but that was a year ago and
I've had no further hock problems. I don't know if it was the Legend or
a switch in careers that did the trick. Dressage is hard on the hocks
but my mare has done fine so far with limited distances. We'll see...
