I saw this PBS clip too and the calm mustang looked suffocated to me.
By the time the horse was let out he was simply exhausted and didn't care
what they did to him. I wonder why they didn't show clips of working
the same horse the next day... and the next day... and the next day.

Not a gentle or original method as far as I could tell. I too am appalled
PBS would air this.

Better to learn from a proven trainer and work with an uncompromised horse
allowed to move freely in a round pen. You'll get further faster and have
a trusting friend.
