If my husband David happens to see this post, he'll be on it like white
on rice, chortling like a loon. When I gave David his very own little
mare (with whom he is now having a torrid love affair when I'm not
looking), he made the same complaint, that his more interesting Parts
were getting rather squashed and trampled and rendered useless. David
is still a novice rider, but if riding's painful beyond normal muscle
aches, he's never going to stick around long enough to become
experienced, is he?
Anyway, after looking at ALOT of saddles, the one he fell in love with
was the Orthofles Patriot Officer's model. It was, granted, $1800, but
he absolutely adores it, was instantly willing to go from twenty minute
ooh-an-ah sessions to two hour rambles with lots of trotting, and almost
every time comments on how comfy it is for him and his Parts. I ride in
an OF Express and he doesn't find it comfortable for him, ONLY the
Patriot works for him---something about the rise in the front of the
seat.
Good luck getting your husbands Parts happy again.
Susan and David, still gloating over his saddle and his new girlfriend
(who likes her new saddle, too).
