Winter riding

Hi everyone,
Being way up north, (North Dakota) our horses can get pretty woolly and our
winters
can get cold. It has been a long time since I have been riding in the winter
let alone
working a horse in the winter, so I could use some advice.

There is no way, because of how cold it can sometimes get, that I could clip
any part of my
horse. So what kind of blanket could I use to keep my horse from cooling off
too fast after
I am done working him? Is it possible to get the horse too hot? What do I need
to look for .
Also the big question, what is too cold for riding and working a horse. Long
ago, when I use
to ride in the winter, if the weather dropped below 0 degrees, I did not ride
because I was
afraid of damaging the lungs. But I was a kid and I was guessing. Also how
about wind chill?
What is too cold for working a horse? What do you riders that live north of me
do?

TIA,
Lynette and Dollar (what do you mean winter riding? Are you crazy, that is my
time off!!!!
Help me fellow horse friends, tell this women
she is crazy, Helppppp!!!)
