it was not a factor there. it was exhausted horse syndrome followed
by an infection that developed during the course of the treatment.
the first horse was a laminitis situation.
another point that might not have been clear was that while i knew
about the texas situation - since i live there and know the horses
involved - there may have been horses from other regions that had
problems as well. i doubt that the problem was confined to just horses
from the central region.
