Re: [RC] FEI/AERC Sanctioned Rides - heidiWhile it is true that it is a management issue, the fact remains that it requires more management skills to run an FEI ride well. So, while there are some ride managers who have sufficient organizational skills to run an AERC ride just fine such that few people suffer the consequences of their lack of great skills, when you add the FEI component to this ride, those lacking skills cause lots of problems that otherwise would not manifest themselves. Sometimes, juggling the extra balls associated with dual sanctioning causes less than competent jugglers to drop a bunch of balls...that they wouldn't have if they hadn't had those extra things to deal with, especially since there is a great deal of pressure NOT to drop any of those extra FEI balls. In which case, the manifestation of the poor management is caused specifically by the dual sanctioning. While that may well be true, you make my point--it isn't the FEI that is at fault, it is the lack of the ability of management to pull it off.
