Re: [RC] CAIR panels - Chris PausAll I know is I had the worst back problems on Star we've ever had when I used a Wintec with CAIR. It APPEARED to fit him perfectly. We got great sweat patterns. But he made ugly faces when I girthed him up, he sidestepped and avoided me getting on him. I rode him in one 25 mile CTR with it and he had a terrible case of back scald when we completed the ride. I had to give him 6 weeks off to heal up. I think you're right. When I rode in teh saddle it FELT like riding on basketballs. Traditional wool flocking for me please. chris --- Alice Yovich <a.yovich@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: has anyone had any experience with buying a wintec with CAIR and then having them removed and having the saddle reflocked. This question is for a friend of mine from my barn who is having saddle issues with her Bates saddle. The chiro says that the CAIR panels are like basketballs and are too hard on the horse's back. She says that every horse that she has seen that uses these saddles have had chronic back problems. My saddle, also with CAIR, a wintec, seems to be less hard than hers so she thought maybe I could ask around as she hasn't been able to find out any information by just searching the web. She's a dressage rider and quite honestly, most of the girls at my barn thought my saddle odyssey a bit amusing until the chiro showed them problems that they are having with their own horses regarding saddle fit. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
