[RC] Absorbine-or a wool sock for hock overnite? - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Ray O'Donohue rno2m@xxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Well, this is interesting.I have for years considered an overnite practice for now 18 y.o. Chico's right rear (hock?who knows..)problem during multi-day field trials.Since it is usually winter and late in the day,we cold hose our horse's lower legs, only, before putting them on their stake-out rigs overnite. If flat out cold weather,I do not hose him at all.Since the absorbine is supposed to cool at first and them warm afterwards, which is exactly what I want to do for his right rear leg,I figured that Absorbine might be just the ticket, and in fact I have done it a time or two.But after reading all the posts, maybe I just need to find a huge human wool sock to roll up onto his leg.(I find all the shipping boots and leg wraps in the catalogs incomprehensible.I did buy one set of four, but I can't tell which are the back and which are the front or the top from the bottom of either, and they don't seem to fit onto the leg no way no how!) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
