[RC] MSU-CVM equine health lecture - Judy LessardEquine health lecture series for horse owners: Topic of this lecture: "Lameness in Horses" Saturday, May 21, 2005 9 a.m. - 12:30 pm E-100 Veterinary Medical Center, MSU The Veterinary Teaching Hospital, MSU College of Veterinary Medicine, will hold a series of equine health lectures in 2005. The lectures will be held in E-100 Veterinary Medical Center (VMC), an auditorium on the northwest corner of the VMC, near the corner of Wilson Road and Bogue Street. Guests should park in the Wharton Center parking ramp on Wilson Road and walk south across the street to the VMC. E-100 is located on the west end of the VMC (to the right of the Small Animal Clinic (do not enter the building at the Small Animal Clinic). Agenda: 9 - 10 a.m. Dr. John Caron "Evaluating the lame horse: where to start" 10 - 11:00 a.m. Dr. Rob van Wessum "Lameness issues of the dressage horse" 11 - 11:20 a.m. coffee break 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Dr. John Caron "Treatment: Adequan, Legend, Glucosamine -- How and why they may work" Dr. John Caron, Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences, is an equine clinician and board-certified surgeon at the MSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Dr. Rob van Wessum is an internationally recognized dressage rider, judge, trainer and veterinarian. Dr. Van Wessum recently joined the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences and is available to sees patients in the MSU MSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Free admission.
