Difference is I was not a beginner and the horse had 500 endurance miles before I started this training. This is not a form of training for a beginner. It is advanced training for a horse with a good base and for a rider that knows their horse, has laid out a program, is monitoring the program for over stressing the horse and has some experience. This is not something you do every time out - maybe once a week. This is a program that will get you to 4 hour 50's, but it is not for a beginner.
