Some of the horses listed as "mustang" are in fact Spanish Mustangs, Germonimo's Warrior being the most notable. The breed is listed the way the owner put it and the data includes at least 10 years of data so there are inconsistencies. Mustangs of all flavors do very well in endurance and do merit recognition.

Hi everyone -

I noticed that on the AERC website there are 254 Mustangs listed under the "Breeds Competing" category. I thought it might be interesting (and maybe helpful) to those who are considering purchasing a Mustang from a private owner or adopting a Mustang from the BLM to get a list going of Mustangs that have competed in LD/Endurance and show some of their accomplishments. The mileage is from AERC records as of 3/10/05.

Considering the most recent legislation that was passed and the news report that was aired on ABC news last week, it would seem like Mustangs need all the help they can get right now.

So, to date I have the following horses (in alphabetical order) listed:

Geronimo's Warrior - 10,335 miles
Gorgeous George - 910 miles
Indian Chief - 125 miles
Kiger Bridger - 2085 miles
Mustang Lady - 5255 miles
Robin Hood - 5285 miles
Sir Kai - 1340 miles
Wild Fire - 5040 miles

Please help add names and accomplishments to this list?
