Re: [RC] Hoofwings - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Kim kim@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== I have not tried the hoofwings, but I know someone who did on her horse (not endurance though). She said while she was cantering the horse the boot flew right off. So, if your planning on using them for endurance I wouldn't recommend it. I tried this companies other boots (horsneaker)and had problems w/ them wearing out (wore holes in them in 50 miles and had to send them back to have them resurfaced). Then I had problems w/ them coming off so I put shoestrings on them and then tied it around my horses fetlock. The final problem I had was while out on a training ride one of the boots in the back ripped. I paid roughly $500 for a semi-custom set and was rather disappointed in them. I would however recommend these boots (Horsneakers) for just every day trail riders, who aren't doing the distance like we endurance riders do. Definately not made for the miles of endurance. As for the hoofwings if you are planning on using them to transition from shod to barefoot and you aren't planning on doing endurance miles in them, they might be ok. Hope this helps.
