Re: [RC] HELP!!!!!!!!! ASPIRIN OVERDOSE????? - Rosalie MarleyHi Jerri - I'm not a vet, but I did look up the dosage of aspirin for horses - it is 56,432 to 112,864 mg given 2 or 3 times a day. (I got this from the Jeffers catalog, link is http://tinyurl.com/7yza7 ) If you use human aspirin (325 mg/tablet), 24 tabs = 7,800mg and 48 tabs = 15,6000, so it's still way less than a horse dose. Maybe your pony is lying down because he hurts? People and horses use their medications differently, so scaling up from a human isn't necessarily reasonable.
