Re: [RC] Travel Papers and Brand Inspection (Nevada) - Lynn KinskyI will admit, I did not read the whole text on the link Sindy sent. But I would think that if brand inspections were something that Nevada REALLY wanted, and enforced, would we not have heard about it for all those riders who go to Tevis each year??? I mean, the ride STARTS in Nevada!!! Tevis is completely within California (the Cal.Ag Inspection station is well within the California border on I-80; it's not at the border). I have a horse being shipped to Colorado, and all the shippers have asked for is Coggins and a health certificate, and they haven't specified the route. If you look at the Coggins certificate (at least the California one) it has all of the horse markings on it -- the vet is required to indicate all markings at the time the blood is drawn, so the test results can be verified against the live horse should any inspector wish to do so. -- Lynn Kinsky Santa Ynez, CA http://www.silcom.com/~lkinsky =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= http://www.endurance.net/ads/seabiscuit.html Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
