[RC] my experience with CoolMedics products - A. PerezI bought a helmet liner and a scarf-type thingy (goes around your neck) from CoolMedics. These are made out of fabric that is supposed to get cool when wet. I tried them out on a not terribly hot days (80s). I was not very impressed. The helmet liner bocked airflow though my Troxel's vents - it seemed cooler without it than with it. The inside of the liner (next to my head) also felt quite hot when I removed it, though the outside was cool, so it did not seem to be getting the heat away from my head, but holding it there. The scarf thing also heated up on the side against my skin. All in all they did not seem any better at cooling than a wet bandanna, not did they seem to keep working much longer than a wet bandanna would. I'll try the scarf again the next hot ride I take, but thus far, I would not recommend them.
