Re: [RC] UMECRA - would you go to a ride if you couldn't use your portable pen? - Sullivan----- Original Message ----- From: "Kristi Schaaf" <iluvdez@xxxxxxxxx> We hold an NATRC ride at this park every year, and management is just WONDERFUL to us. NATRC riders are used to the "equal stabling" rule and have no problem with the stationary tie. What about you guys? Kristi Kristi, I thought with NATRC you had to tie to trailers..... How high is the hitch rack? Personally, I dislike "hitchracks", and rarely use them-most are much too low, and potential for horse to slide rope along, unless there are rings set in the hitch rack; shimmy around the ends, etc. I have rarely seen a wood hitchrack that couldn't be pulled out! That said, I firmly believe horses should stay where tied.... no matter what sort of thing they are tied too...but tying overhead (picket line, high tree branch, etc,), is SO much safer.
