Re: [RC] not all boarding sucks - A. PerezI have to second the sentiment that 'not all baording sucks'. I am lucky that I can board my horse for less then it would cost for me to feed him at home, not to mention the expense of fencing and shelter. He gets to run with a herd, something I could not offer him if he were at home. He has run of 40+ acres, which I could not afford. At our current house, we could only have a small paddock which would be reduced to a mud-pit in no time, meaning no grass, which my guy does really well on. Were we to move to an affordable horse property, my commute would be pure hell. What really makes boarding better for me is that I am free to go away on weekends or vacation without having to find a horse-sitter. If he were at home, any change in plans that kept me away at feeding time would be a major hassle, something my non-horsey husband would have little pateince with. My boarding situation is far from ideal, but it is hands-down better then what I could provide at home. AND I do not have to live my life around my horses schedule. ________________________________________________ Get your own "800" number Voicemail, fax, email, and a lot more http://www.ureach.com/reg/tag =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
