[RC] Racing Arabians/Lang Park - Ridecamp Guest

A few years ago I got a 2 year old gelding from a rescue that had come from Lang Park Arabians. He was a nice horse, had a great disposition and was quite tall. I started riding him when he was 4 and he was doing great, but then kept coming up lame. I had him xrayed and found he had an avulsion (sp) fracture. It was suddenly clear to me why he had been dumped as a killer horse. I liked him so much, I considered going to get another horse off their ranch, but couldn't bring myself to give money to a farm who sold their horses for slaughter since I am opposed. I gave the horse away as a companion and ended up out of money to get another horse anyway.
