ROFL! Sounds like the warm-up arena at your average SJing / eventing show
to me! Toc doesn't settle down and work until he's decked me at least once!
It's got to the point where I practically throw myself off after five
minutes to that I can get his mind on the job.

Did I mention the time Toc leapt out of the dressage arena and tried to jump
INTO the arena next door to say "howdy doody" to the horse next door?

In Toccy's case, a bit of both!
The rest of your post was good, and I hope nobody minds me chiming in. I
guess my point is that some horses are just natural exhibitionists.. ...give
'em an audience, and they'll rise to it!
