Betty,
I just said it because I love you. >g< I have 2 kids, and every time I
do something dangerous (like camp out when there's tornadoes in the
neighborhood just to do an endurance ride) I worry about leaving them
orphans. It's on my mind all the time. I think it's every bit as
important that we take care of ourselves for our kids sake as it is that
we take care of them. If shaking you up a tad made you admit you should
wear a helmet, it was well spent. Last year in our area a woman was
thrown from a horse and whether she planned to do a tuck and roll I don't
know, but she bashed her head on a tree stump before she hit the ground
and the whole family saw her die. Maybe that could happen with a helmet
too, but at least they wouldn't spend the rest of their lives saying
"what if".
