Well
now I'm crushed. I've been so happy with my boy, he's top-10'd three
of his last four rides (since mid-March) and finished 5th overall last
weekend in Albuquerque to qualify for the National Championship in August.
He's sweepstakes nominated, and has a great temperament to boot. Only to
find out that *Bask isn't desirable and half his background is *Bask, the other
half Aladdinn. Guess I'll have to call the Alpo
man......

I had to laugh reading this post. One of
our early decisions about breeding was that we just would not put any *Bask
into our horses at all, no matter what the source. It was a kind of
arbitrary thing to do, but we felt that someday, someone many horse
generations ahead, would want a horse for some reason that wouldn't have *Bask
in it. So that's what we did (or didn't do). Lif
