French riders dominate the first mountain stage

The fourth stage of V-Andalucia Kaliber Raid was held Tuesday April 13 between Villamartin and Ronda, for a total of 60 kilometers. The veterinary check point was at Zahara de la Sierra. This was the hardest trail to date, making for a very late finish in Ronda.

The first mountain stage was won by the French teams who set a strong pace from the first moment, with Jose Antonio Aguilar as the only Spanish in the leading group. The Jean-Pierre Lerisset was the winner on Massar, in front of Jose Antonio Aguilar on Baney and Paulette Maldera with Louna de Rivoiron.

From the first mile the five French teams and Spanish rider Aguilar put up a brisk pace, opening a wider lead as the day went on, finishg well over 40 minutes in front of the rest of the group. In the pairs competition the victory went to Christiane Guinand riding Ahab du Vallois finishing in front of Santiago Perez on Marlboro YAC and Eduardo Sanchez Hidalgo on Hermes.

13/04/10. La primera etapa de monta na se decidio a favor de los equipos franceses que impusieron un fuerte ritmo desde el primer kilometro, con Jose Antonio Aguilar como único espa nol en el grupo de cabeza. En la meta de Ronda Jean-Pierre Lerisset fue el ganador con MASSAR delante de Jose Antonio Aguilar con BANEY y de Paulette Maldera con LOUNA-DE- RIVOIRON.

La cuarta etapa del V Raid Kaliber-Andalucia se disputo hoy martes 13 de abril entre Villamartin y Ronda, sobre un total de 60 kilometros y con el control veterinario intermedio en Zahara de la Sierra.

Desde el primer kilometro los cinco equipos franceses pusieron un ritmo vivo, acompanados únicamente por Jose Antonio Aguilar montando a BANEY. Con el paso de los kilometros la ventaja del grupo de cabeza se hizo cada vez mas grande, y llegaron a Ronda con mas de minutos cuarenta sobre sus perseguidores. En binomios la victoria fue para Christiane Guinand con ACHAB-DU-VALLOIS delante de Santiago Perez Dorao con MARLBORO-YAC y de Eduardo Sanchez Hidalgo con HERMES.

Mañana miercoles se disputara la quinta etapa del Raid Kaliber-Andalucia que nos llevara a Antequera.
