Heidi, what is your opinion of the Panacur 5 day treatment (2 tubes per day
for 5 days)? I've heard nothing but good reports about it so far. But,
never thought about the immune response. All of my horses have been
scrupulously de-wormed while I've owned them. But, as you know, I have a
yearling who was severely neglected in baby-hood. I was planning on doing
the Panacur treatment on him, would I be endangering him potentially? He has
been wormed regularly and until 2 months ago was on the Strongid daily wormer
program then I switched him to the same routine as my other guys. I just get
this creepy feeling that he needs a "booster" (he looks great though). Just
a feeling. Sooooo, what is your opinion on treating this type of horse with
Panacur? Thanks!!!! Also, will the manure during this treatment be a danger
to my dogs? (since the dose is doubled and over the course of 5 days).
Sylvia
