Re: Carbs and GLUCOMETERS-CHEAP
OK, dumb question....where does one take a blood sample to put on a
glucometer strip? Not exactly as neat and easy as stabbing your fingertip
and dropping (almost every time) a nice, neat droplet. I assume these are
people glucometers you are talking about? Could I just use my own unit if
I ever decided to do my own little test studies on my horse? I admit I am
intrigued by all this....I am skeptical about the carbo loading but believe
the use of chromium is a brilliant idea. I have first hand experience and
success using it for myself! If it helps stabilize my blood glucose
levels, I bet it could really benefit my horse and can't wait to try it
next year! My skepticism is most surely a result of my discovery that
carbs are not MY friend but the concept for horses perhaps bears looking
into. I will watch RC for more interesting stuff and maybe even try some
tests for myself next year.
