Hi Nancy,
Yes, I got your phone message late last night. I also received the copies of
the emails you sent regarding the lack of cooperation, so to speak about
submitting articles to EN with the possibility of them not getting published.
I feel it is unfortunate that the conversation at dinner the other night, at
Camp Virner, got blown out of proportion and clearly misinterpreted. The
submitting of articles was never denied. It was simply stated that every
article submitted would be impossible to run, as is true with every magazine,
newspaper or other news source. As you know yourself, working with the
newspaper, they are limited to space and must select a few articles from the
vast number submitted. It is not that they choose to deny. I feel it would
be a wise choice to submit equine/trail articles to a variety of equine/trail
media with the hopes of having it published in one or several publications.
All sources are of benefit to the cause we are all working for.......striving
to protect and preserve trails, etc. The more information we can get out to
the public, the stronger our force in obtaining our mutual goals. I believe
we can all achieve our mutual goals working with cooperation and kindness
rather than challenging one another and butting heads. I think we all need
to step back and take a look at where we are coming from. Is it a space from
the heart or from an argumentative and angry atmosphere? Challenging one
another is unnecessary. Let's band together and work for the same cause in a
more productive fashion. We will only become stronger in force.
It was great to see everyone last weekend.
Take care and Happy Trails to All,
Debbee
