Lifetime records are kept by AERC.  Hubby cleaned house and I'm not sure 
where my AERC Yearbooks are, but updated listings are printed every year.  
Rushcreek Lad had over 18,000 career miles--and I think he has the 
distinction of the highest career mileage to date.  Someone who either knows 
his exact mileage will likely chime in here.  There are others over the 
10,000 mile mark.  The thing that makes RT Muffin's high mileage special is 
that he has had so many wins among those miles--a tough combination!
