Angie!  Welcome back!~
  I have ridden the OD and ROC solo.  Anything you or the horse eats must be 
carried with you.  Unless it is growing wild, grass water in it's natural 
state is okay.  If the VC is without grass or water, management usually sets 
a place aside for solo riders.  They also provide people water.  You have to 
serve yourself.  If you (the horse) losses a shoe, either an easyboot or you 
have to put it back on with whatever you have.  You can finish the ride and 
drop out of solo at anytime, just have to tell management.
