Re: RC: tiresome drivel

That was clear, Ma'am. There are about four of us who have been doing battle
while you sat on the sidelines.

the man doth protest too much!! Whatever....footstomping diatribe, huh? I
 have something simpler to add...bite me. I don't care.>

Well! I never!

interest I MAY have had in the carbohydrates question was long ago
exhausted as I waded through and deleted crappy message after crappy
message.... you don't know me well enough to call me hypocritical.>

Hipocrisy is evident on its face. All you had to do, in this case, was to be
nasty while calling someone else nasty. As you're doing now.

> You
don't know me at all! >

I read your words. I respond to them. You are just as accountable for your
words as I am for mine. In this case, I am responding--I didn't seek you out
to pick on you. I'm simply reading closely what you have to say, attempting
to understand every word in context, and responding in kind. I am your
reflection in that regard. You're looking in the mirror as we speak.

> Your attempt to make some of us feel unworthy of
contributing to RC is simply rude and offensive>

I welcome your contributions--actually, even the personal attacks. But I
would prefer that they were substantive. More fun.

> (not mudslinging, just
 true!)>

Really. Kind of a "truth hurts" type of thingy, eh?

>...of course, I wouldn't want to get "demolished" so to speak. I
have had a few verbal sparrings with folks on RC but I have never behaved
 as badly as you are.>

It takes experience--you kind of have to step out on a limb once in a while,
try something out, see if it brings on the flutters, or a nervous breakdown.
Then you can pounce with overwhelming force.

 > Ridecamp was not created by Steph to be abused so
blatantly for one's own ego trips... >

Steph promised me personally that this was to be Ivers' Ego Villa.

>I joined RC to learn and make some
friends who share my philosophy of "To finish is to win" (and some friends
who don't!) and perhaps gain some understanding of the issues within the
 sport.>

So why mess around with moralizing and posturing and looking foolish in a
feeble attempt at some kind of thought policing? Jump on the issues.

 >If the words "tiresome drivel" and "grinch" would cause you to lash
out at me in such an aggressive manner, must be you recognized something
 about yourself. >

Lash out? I'm being very polite. I don't think words like "sanctimonious
self-serving hypocritical foot stomping" are fighting words--look at Jimmy
Swaggart--millions love him.

>It's too bad, too, because when you were on RC previously,
I feel that I learned quite a lot from you...I don't ever recall getting
such a nasty response from you and I don't think your verbal wars ever got
so out of hand with Susan. >

Really? Heidi almost had a nervous breakdown. And, of course, you never
called me a grinch. You ever seen a grinch up close? Almost as ugly as a
frump.

> I value your expertise in your area but I don't
appreciate or respect the manner in which you have been delivering it
 lately.>

If this were a concert, I would be playing your favorite tunes. And somebody
would be paying me to do so. Here, I'm working for free, and relishing my
freedom.

 > And I have the right to say what I think or feel without worrying
 about being attacked personally.>

Well, you have the right to say what you wish, as I do, but you should
cojnsider being accountable for your words. You want to hold me accountable
for mine, don't you? That's fair.

> I probably shouldn't post this because I
really hate perpetuating this any more than it has been but I care about
the Ridecamp forum and I bet there are plenty others out there who feel the
 same way.>

Let's hope you can all get together somewhere and work out your frustrations.
Meanwhile, you can easily stop getting nasty replies from me if you stop
sending nasty messages. In fact, if you send them in private, I won't even
bother responding.

  >It's long overdue for the time to change the subject or at least
 STAY on subject....carbos anyone?>

There you go. That's better. Now you're getting the hang of it.
