Re: hooves
Horses hooves can grow out in all sorts of interesting ways...sometimes you
will see rings or ridges on the hooves. Nelson can pinpoint almost exactly
(at least in number of months) when there was some major change for the
horses such as a change in diet, the horse may have colicked or been
injured or endured some kind of stress. Probably your mare's change in the
appearance of her hooves has to do with her new or different diet or even
environment. I wouldn't worry.
