I figured easy care would respond to this so I didn't at first. But I believe easycare uses stainless steel bolts in their stirrups. At least the 2 pair I bought had stainless steel bolts. I had to buy new bolts because I changed the size to 2.5 inches so they wouldn't be sloppy on my saddles. I paid more and got SS bolts just like easycare used. SS bolts are very strong in my opinion. A grade 8 bolt is also very strong but will corrode long before a SS bolt will in most cases. Also I don't really think the bolt strength matters. Even a mild steel bolt should not fail before the plastic sides of the easy care stirrup would rip out.
