Wrist blood sugar monitor
I just read there will soon be (April 2000) a wrist blood sugar
monitor on the market. It is intended for use by diabetic patients to
monitor sugar levels.
The wrist device is called GlucoWatch. Tests showed it tracked very
low and very high blood glucose accurately. The device compares each
new measurement with the previous measurement to determine if blood
sugar is rising or falling.
This is great news! I think we should add some heart monitor leads and
strap it to our horses. Soon I could be riding the trails with my GPS
unit, cell phone, heart monitor and glucose monitor.
